PB’s twisty take on the top five headlines of the day.
1. Kashmir is ours, hope the message is loud and clear : India
In effect China is building a road through India and that too without taking the necessary permission. We should show our power and not just flex our muscles. India should become part of the CPEC vision because it passes through PoK which is an integral part of Greater Kashmir, and the disputed regions of Gilgit Baltistan.
2. India corners Pakistan over Uri, reveals attackers identity
Pakistan will always remain in a denial mode no matter whatsoever evidences are shared with it. Uri attack has revealed one untold truth that we could not deter terrorist by our own intelligence and unpreparedness to such situations. The best way is to develop our own deterrence where every possible bid is foiled and nipped in the bud.
3. Indus : Pakistan says, ‘India cannot separate unilaterally.’
Pakistan can conveniently look away from Shimla treaty, violate all norms on terrorism by fostering, sheltering terrorist camps. allow UN proclaimed terrorists to roam around freely, hold rallies, incite and sponsor violence into Kashmir. But India is bound by Indus Water Treaty.
4. China’s hold on Azhar’s UN terror listing to lapse
The whole world is coming together on the issue of terrorism and it will be indeed interesting how long China can protect its stooge. India gradually and surely turning the screws on Pakistan and it is facing music in international forums.
5. Let down by their own, Marathas turn on Dalits in Maharashtra
This is nothing new- the upper castes always say that India will be great if there was no affirmative action! Marathas run the state and are probably the most dominant and powerful group in the state, it is a joke for them to ask any kind of reservation. Reservations are for groups which are historically (and also in the present times) brutally discriminated against, like Dalits and to a lesser degree tribals.
