PB’s twisty take on the top five headlines of the day.
1. Too early to call Brexit watershed anti-trade event: Rajan
Charles de Gaulle never allowed Britain enter the European common market as he suspected their fidelity. He must be smiling in his grave. EU kept their national identities . They were one on certain race benefits. When benefits evaporate and new difficulties surface EU will break. The natural love and willing ness to sacrifice for others with the same nation can only unite people.
2. BJP will give tough fight to BSP, SP, says Naqvi
BJP will give a tough fight provided that they are able to present an acceptable CM face for the UP elections. Play fair, and do not polarize, Let UP decide.
3. After ‘Yes’ To PM Modi, Switzerland Lets Down India At Nuclear Club NSG
Now this is a question mark after the unmasked Switzerland is exposed. China and Pakistan violated the essence of nuclear non-proliferation but the so-called pure nation is blind on this but see the paper procedure under microscope. On the other hand India fulfilled the essence of non-proliferation but this very pure Intellectual nation (Now a big question) is totally blind. Let people of Switzerland decide what their intellectual level say on this matter.
4. Centre Returns 14 Bills, Not Cleared
“The home ministry has reportedly told the Delhi government that its bills need to be verified before they are introduced in the state assembly.”. If this is the rule then any bill passed otherwise is bound to be rejected. Else they can be challenged in the court and it will be a mess. Imagine a lokpal bill which is not passed by correct procedure. Any person arrested under it will tell it is not properly passed and he cannot be prosecuted using it.
If AAP thinks it is beyond rules set under constitution then any amount of drama will not help them.
5. Shiv Sena Backs Swamy, Takes Dig at BJP Leadership
Taking a dig at Jaitley, Sena said that while he might be “clever and competent”, a Finance minister cannot keep everybody happy at the same time. Taking on the Swamy episode and the rumblings it created in the BJP, Sena said that now nobody should ask it why does it attack the NDA government despite being in power.
