PB’s twisty take on the top five headlines of the day.
1. Separatists ask PDP MLAs to abandon Mehbooba
Factional fighting can promote tension. Guess initially BJP might have seen the alliance as an opportunity to reach out to the mass in the valley to improve the situation. Unfortunately India doesn”t stand united to deal with the Kashmir/Pak menace. Article 370 should be dropped and development work needs to happen for the youth to get proper education and jobs. Till the valley develops growing population will always be at unrest and manipulated by the separatists.
2. Disqualified Uttarakhand MLAs Seek SC’s Nod to Attend Assembly
A bench comprising Justices Dipak Misra and R F Nariman, however, said that the notice, given by these MLAs and BJP lawmakers, will remain alive and would be subject to the final outcome of its judgement on the petition filed by MLAs.
3. India engaging with China over NSG, won’t sign NPT: Sushma Swaraj
Swaraj also credited the previous UPA government for getting the waiver and said while the UPA government followed the commitments, the present government is following the same since it came to power in 2014. Hope the negotiations work out for the benefit of the country.
4. Mayawati remarks: BJP sacks UP vice-president Dayashankar Singh
Mayawati dropped some strong comment during the session and there was a good stir up later. While Mr. Singh’s remark is unfortunate, it is to be noted that Ms. Mayawati has not denied or clarified about selling tickets for huge sums and what happens to the money. Along with that, her comments on Rahul Gandhi sleeping, made headlines, and Congress leaders came running out to defend their precious leader.
5. Gujarat Dalit protests spread to new areas, policeman killed
Religion is highly inflammable when mixing with politics it explodes. If we are killing each other because of the animals we worship are harmed then we will be swamped by monkeys, snakes, rats, squirrels, pigs and of course roaming cows. Mayawati is afraid that dalits may shift to congress, that’s why she is blaming the opposition party and not the ruling party (both in Gujarat and centre). She was mute to Rohit’s case and other dalit cases, as a result dalits are moving back to congress big time.
