PB’s twisty take on the top five headlines of the day.
1. DMK members evicted from TN assembly, suspended
DMK purposely was trying to have this chance. Already people of TN are not happy with them. If they try to stall the proceedings people will never like it. Unruly behaviour not accepted including in the Parliament however right to protest is welcome by discussion and the speaker should not be bias.
2. PM Narendra Modi may skip NAM meet in Venezuela
How could communist countries like Cuba and Yugoslavia be members of a Non Aligned Movement. India itself was in the pockets of the former USSR. It is time to scrap all such policies and follow what is more realistic and fruitful for the country.
3. India Rejects Pakistan’s Invite For Talks On Jammu and Kashmir
India should stage a massive, yet subtle international diplomacy on human right issue, vis-a-vis terrorism emanating from POK and highlight deteriorating situation in Balouch. Now Pakistan must understand that solving the Kashmir problem is to first create older Kashmir state by uniting POK, GILGIT, J &K .
4. As India renews NSG bid, Pak throws in a no n-testing pact spanner
There was no formal reaction from external affairs ministry on this. Though India is not a signatory, it says a voluntary moratorium on testing nuclear weapons adheres to the basic principle of no testing of nuclear weapons.Membership of the NSG would increase India’s international clout.
5. 3 security personnel dead as militants strike in Kashmir again
As far as Kashmiris and Army men (mostly coming from poor or middle class background) dying in conflict zone the people in government do not care. They will use this as a excuse to entertain their vote bank by giving some fascist speeches rather than resolving the core issue.
