PB’s twisty take on the top five headlines of the day.
1. Interest rates to come down by 1% in 3-6 months: KV Kamath
As the global economy heads towards the greatest deflation ever nothing will go up. He reasoned that it will suck out liquidity from the system which should have another positive impact on inflation. It is a big reset happening. Tough times ahead for the elderly who depend on interest income.
2. No good son will ever want this: Congress on PM’s mother visiting bank
Same person who said ZERO loss in not auctioning 2g spectrum. Now the government has already realised more than 1 lakh crore by auctioning and has no shame. You are a lawyer or an elitist. Why should this be a discussion point? So will Congress start disrespecting all senior citizens who are in line and their children for letting them be there?
3. Tata Global removes Mistry as chairman, Harish Bhat named new boss
Harish Bhat, who joined the Tata Group nearly three decades ago in 1987 as an officer in the Tata Administrative Service. Mistry remains on the company’s board as a director despite being removed as chairman. To remove him from the board, the company will need to call an extraordinary general meeting (EGM). Mistry is aiming complete brand destruction of Tata group and its ethical record.
4. BJP Ally Shiv Sena Will Join Mamata Banerjee’s March Against Notes Ban
The NCP and the AAP will also participate in the march. Instead of marching Mamata should help people in her state .Regarding Shiv sena, it keeps moving in circles again and seems always more confused than before.
5. No stone pelting on forces in Kashmir after demonetisation move, says Manohar Parrikar
If we expect Modi to change the country, we will need to support these tough decisions rather than crib about standing in a line. Nobody is against the concept of the demonetization but the procedure of it’s execution without proper preparation, planning and setting milestone. So, it’s wrong to term anybody and everybody as anti- national on this basis.
