1. Cauvery stir: Centre rushes 10 RAF companies to Karnataka
TN, Karnataka and Maharashtra have been filling 90℅ of centre’s coffers since freedom. Centre can very easily build cheap water pipelines to both fighting states from surplus water areas in the country and win hearts of both states.
2. Cabinet nod for setting up GST Council, April 2017 roll out deadline achievable
Certainly a move welcomed by everyone. But, how one can expect the turnover in 2016-17 at the same rates of services in 5-6 years ago? It all must be realistic. Otherwise soul of improvements will be suffer and old picture will continue.
3. Arunachal Pradesh Governor Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa Sacked
Rajkhowa has been sacked and rightly so.now he should be tried for misusing the constitutional position he held to play politics for which he was not intended to be there as Governor in the first place. Of course again, the pleasure and displeasure on record from the President is of the government of the day. The Congress would be happy and will claim victory on the victim.
4. J-K govt orders shutdown of internet, mobile services for next 72 hours
Separatists had given a call to march towards the United Nations office on Tuesday and the authorities were expecting that there will be addresses over telephone by leaders besides mobilizing people using data services.
5. Sensex dives 444 points on US Fed rate hike concerns
On similar lines, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty dropped by 167.30 points or 1.88 per cent to 8.699.40. But, the sensex 444 point drop has nothing to do with US rate hike. Markets do not support artificially set high stock value for too long.
