1. Ready for nuclear non-testing pact with India: Pak
A voluntary moratorium was declared by India soon after the 1998 explosions as also her non-first-strike policy. Pakistan has woken up to it only now. It is nothing but Pakistan’s trick to project herself on a higher moral ground to sell her case for entry to NSG. You may be ready but India did not ask for it.

What the government can and must do is to stop all wasteful spending which can be done through 100& pre-audit and concurrent review by the CAG of all expenditure and a full stop to all scams, delays in projects which will escalate costs and weaken the country in its preparedness to meet eventualities and ensure collection of taxes without granting exemptions.
3. Assam becomes first state to ratify GST Bill
Of the central GST portion, 42 per cent tax will be given back to the state. The GST will also have a special concession option for north-eastern and Himalayan states if they request reduction in taxes for any reason. It’s a good lead and other states should follow.
4. ‘Don’t Force Us To Pass Orders,’ Angry Supreme Court Warns Centre
Why should judicial work be withdrawn from judges recommended for ‘transfer’? If they are incompetent/corrupt then please don’t push that judge onto someone/somewhere else. Doing so will not improve his competence or make the judge less corrupt. Recommend impeachment and get rid of the judge.
5. Lok Sabha unanimously passes resolution on Kashmir, appeals for peace in the Valley
The separatists living in the state of Jammu and Kashmir are the real culprits responsible for the unrest. They survive by poisoning the minds of youth for their selfish luxurious life as feudal lords.
