PB’s twisty take on the top five headlines of the day.
1. PM Modi summons Anandiben after flop rally
It all depends upon the governance. Indian politics is a bane to everybody. Leaders can built potical capital on the basis of popular appeal & rhetoric. But such phenomenon is not easy to sustain for long. Brand NaMo was created in 2014 by clever marketing but is on the wane since it has failed to deliver. Modi lost in Delhi & Bihar comprehensively.
2. Two protesters killed in Kashmir clashes, death toll rises to 77
When on earth has stone pelting achieved anything, except for creating chaos. And who will get affected by this chaos? Kashmiris themselves. Think of the poor people living in that region who live on hand to mouth. Wonder what they must be doing. No one thinks of their plight.
3. Believe India is ready, will continue to work for NSG membership bid: US
The US has been playing a lead role in supporting India’s bid in the 48-member elite group. China had scuttled New Delhi’s bid at the Plenary Session of NSG in June. Had the US wanted India in the NSG bid, it could have easily done so.
4. ‘Nothing in his head’: Katju attacks Kejriwal
So this is AAP’s way of combating the saffron – akali combine. Religion is his new weapon. He has redefined the word ”petty”.
5. Nitish a CM of circumstance: Shahabuddin
Sad part is not HC granting bail or government weakening prosecution but people celebrating his release. Shows what kind of heroes people have.
