PB’s twisty take on the top five headlines of the day.
1. PM Modi’s ministry expansion will help BJP in UP polls
Modi’s new cabinet has members with an average age of 57 and all but 3 are graduates and post graduates. With this reshuffle, it is contemplated that BJP is targeting Mayawati and not SP.
Err.. Someone said more governance and less government. Looks like NDA will end up with an over sized cabinet like every other party out there.
It is not true to call governance as jungle raj in states ruled by non BJP parties. BJP must learn from Bihar polls. Playing dalit card to attract the community voter base will also be not useful.
2. Dhaka Attackers Inspired By Indian Cleric Zakir Naik
Zakir Naik is a hate monger who says Islam is the only true religion .He supports terrorists like Laden. He is banned in Europe ,Canada. Such people inspire kids to become terrorists. Why not ban him in India too?
3. Jaitley may reach out to Congress for GST passage
This is a prudent move. Wish Jaitly had responded positively when congress approached him for passing of GST bill then. Now Congress is just on the other side and doing the same thing what BJP did that time.
4. India alert to global financial threats, Brexit situation needs monitoring: FSDC
An overview of state of the economy was presented by the CEA as also the impact of global events are Brexit. With changes taking place in the international markets, they must tread carefully.

Refuting rumours about the role of Priyanka Gandhi in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections, earlier which was said that the Congress party was likely to formally announce Priyanka as its campaign in-charge in Uttar Pradesh this week. Interestingly, the Gandhi scion has not campaigned beyond the family strongholds of Amethi and Rae Bareilly.
