1. Arunachal: Congress chooses Pema Khandu as new leader, to replace CM Tuki
The Supreme Court judgment reiterates the principle of responsible government and the necessity of mutual understanding between the constitutional functionaries to further the constitutional vision of democracy in the larger interests of the nation.
2. 250 Killed And Over 1,000 Injured In Turkey Coup Attempt
Turkey’s President declared he is in control of the country today as loyal military and police forces quashed a coup attempt during a night of explosions, air battles and gunfire that left dozens dead. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who flew home early today, said coup supporters “will pay a heavy price for their treason to Turkey.”
3. PM Modi Changes All 6 Cabinet Committees, No Place For Smriti Irani
Look like after one month we may expect one more shuffle. Frequently shuffling shows imbalance and unable to take right decision. Even EPF decision made miserable and now thinking of taking Gold from temples so lot of confusion.
4. Non Bailable Warrant Against Vijay Mallya In Cheque Bounce Case
First he leaves the country after attending RS, just a day before summons are issued (how very convenient!) right royally on a diplomatic passport. Now more of tax payer’s money is wasted on this farce.
5. Police crack down on press in Kashmir, curfew to continue
Many newspapers in valley are publishing skewed news items and supporters of terrorists and separatists. There is nothing wrong in perusing their policy in this direction. However, when inoffensive comments with reasoning are made, the moderate it and remove them. This shows their one track mentality and subversive attitude. It is irony that the same media is crying for press censorship in valley.
